KEP Propane has been supporting Chicago's restaurateurs with reliable propane cooking equipment and services for over 45 years. Our founder, Richard W. Kafka, had a vision for a safe and affordable alternative for the restaurant owners of Chicago that he had grown to love and respect.

Our roots are in Chicago, where we started with just one man and a dream. Since then, we’ve built long-term relationships with vendors, organizers, and festival crews who rely on us to deliver dependable equipment and stress-free setups.

Over the years, our integrity, dedication, and responsiveness to the changing industry has allowed both us and our partners to grow and provide for our families. 

We now proudly partner with over five hundred food vendors at over thirty-four festivals each year. We supply propane, clean restaurant equipment, professional installation, and constant monitoring day after day with an impeccable safety record and outstanding standards of cleanliness.
